The other night I noticed how hard a student of mine was working on their Taekwondo pattern. He's made significant progress and the complex sequence of movements has not been easy for him to execute. Even though he didn't realize it, I wouldn't let him "stripe," or advance. It's not that he did such a poor job, it's that I expected more from him. With young children, getting a reward can sometimes be counterproductive to real achievement. For instance, an easy "A" in school will make them think they are so smart that they don't have to study or do homework. In my way of thinking, I would rather have the young person strive a little more for that stripe if only so that they don't rest assured of themselves. On the other hand, I encouraged him that next time I saw him that I expected him to be ready to achieve his stripe. In the end, I want a benchmark of success to mean something, not defeat its purpose.

Everyone here is so amazing. The whole staff is exceptional and have always been there for me and my kids. They are more like family than a daycare. I am blessed to have my kids there and to have them a part of our lives. If your looking for a place you can trust for your kids I couldn't recommend any place better
Steeplecrest Childcare is by far the best child care facility my child has ever attended! They have constant activities to keep your child involved while also expanding their creativity, talent, and skills. Everytime I walked in to pick my daughter up she was always laughing and smiling and it brings great joy to my heart to see that. She loved it so much that at the end if the day when I went in to pick her up, she wanted to stay and continue her activity and of course I absolutely enjoyed seeing her be so happy. I also loved the beautiful creations she would bring home. Josh is an EXCELLENT director, very attentive and involved. Jessica is an outstanding professional and a true asset to Steeplecrest childcare. She is very communicative and always keeps you updated on your child's day and you can truly see her love for children. The teachers are also wonderful. My daughter had a couple of teachers (Mr. Chris, Ms. Yasmin, Ms. Irene) in her group and they have no problem getting in and playing/interacting with the kids. In past experience at other facilities, I would usually walk in to see the kids playing while the teachers sat by to watch. Each child is treated as their own person which I know to be important because each child is unique. My daughter made many friends and the staff ensures the kids get along very well. I feel like the entire staff at Steeplecrest has become a part of my family and I will always be grateful for the love and kindness they have shown to my child and us. I absolutely recommend this facility to anyone looking for the BEST childcare.
By far, one of the best places I have ever entrusted with my children. The staff is wonderful. They are all very caring and patient with the children. I was particularly impressed with the nursery room. You can definitely tell that the people that work there genuinely love working with babies. The hours and the prices were also the best that I was able to find.
