"Spare a Jackson?"
Last night rioters tried to pull down a statue of the 7th president of the United States, Andrew Jackson. I wonder if they knew that he had single-handedly defeated the British at the Battle of New Orleans in 1815. Or, that he'd paid Black soldiers equal pay to Whites (quite ahead of his time). Or, that Andrew Jackson adopted a Native American boy whose mother was killed on the battlefield when no other Native American would take the boy, Lycoya. What is the criteria for desecrating and removing historical monuments? If the answer is racism, please spare Andrew Jackson. There's a reason why he's celebrated throughout this country and has his name honored in so many places, and it's not due to his hatred of other races. If the answer is that he is old and white, then by all means (that sounds racist). If the criteria is to remove all historical record of any imperfect people, then we have a lot of books to burn today. History matters and children need to be taught this. Without Andrew Jackson, all of the mob mentality rioters would surely and angrily be exhaling British air.

Everyone here is so amazing. The whole staff is exceptional and have always been there for me and my kids. They are more like family than a daycare. I am blessed to have my kids there and to have them a part of our lives. If your looking for a place you can trust for your kids I couldn't recommend any place better
Steeplecrest Childcare is by far the best child care facility my child has ever attended! They have constant activities to keep your child involved while also expanding their creativity, talent, and skills. Everytime I walked in to pick my daughter up she was always laughing and smiling and it brings great joy to my heart to see that. She loved it so much that at the end if the day when I went in to pick her up, she wanted to stay and continue her activity and of course I absolutely enjoyed seeing her be so happy. I also loved the beautiful creations she would bring home. Josh is an EXCELLENT director, very attentive and involved. Jessica is an outstanding professional and a true asset to Steeplecrest childcare. She is very communicative and always keeps you updated on your child's day and you can truly see her love for children. The teachers are also wonderful. My daughter had a couple of teachers (Mr. Chris, Ms. Yasmin, Ms. Irene) in her group and they have no problem getting in and playing/interacting with the kids. In past experience at other facilities, I would usually walk in to see the kids playing while the teachers sat by to watch. Each child is treated as their own person which I know to be important because each child is unique. My daughter made many friends and the staff ensures the kids get along very well. I feel like the entire staff at Steeplecrest has become a part of my family and I will always be grateful for the love and kindness they have shown to my child and us. I absolutely recommend this facility to anyone looking for the BEST childcare.
By far, one of the best places I have ever entrusted with my children. The staff is wonderful. They are all very caring and patient with the children. I was particularly impressed with the nursery room. You can definitely tell that the people that work there genuinely love working with babies. The hours and the prices were also the best that I was able to find.
